Extended Area Surcharge

Providing service to and from less populated or accessible domestic and international areas carries higher operating costs. The extended and remote area surcharges are assessed to more accurately reflect the cost of providing service to these areas.

Fuel Surcharge

Applies to transportation charges for select UPS services and accessorial charges.

Demand Surcharges

Effective September 9, a Demand Surcharge will apply to parcels that require Additional Handling and Large Parcels until January 31, 2025.

Surge Fees

Surge fees may be implemented based on regular assessments of shipping volume, available capacity and other considerations at UPS’ discretion.

Shipping Charge Correction Audit Fee

Effective 30th of September 2024, a new Shipping Charge Correction Audit Fee will be applied based on parcel Billable Weight assessment.

Missing Package Level Detail (PLD) Fee

Effective 20th October 2024, a new fee will be applied if the shipper does not upload all PLD information to UPS before collection.

What Shipping Rates Are Available Through UPS?

Our Base UPS Service and Tariff Guides apply to new customers and many existing customers.

Our Legacy UPS Service and Tariff Guides apply to customers with a rate contract for UPS shipments to/from Great Britain which dates before 1 January 2021, or which was renewed after this date using the same rate structure.

Effective September 9, the following changes will apply. These changes are not yet reflected in our current Service & Tariff Guide.

  • All UPS export and import brokerage service fees will increase by 5.1%.
  • The Disbursement Fee will increase by 5% and the fee applied to the advanced amount will increase by 0.5 percent points.
  • The Paper Commercial Invoice Services Surcharge will increase to the local currency equivalent of EUR 9.

Effective September 22, the following changes will apply.

  • The Additional Handling Charge, Large Package Surcharge, and Over Maximum Limits Charge will increase by 10%.
