How to Create Your UPS Pickup Point Placard
Creating a UPS Pickup Point placard for your clinical site can streamline the process of scheduling regular or on-demand pickups. Follow these steps to set up a placard and enhance the efficiency of your package management:
Step 1: Access UPS Platform
Open UPS Pickup Point Location Manager at ups.com/upplm on a smartphone, computer, or tablet.
Step 2: Enter Client Information
Input your client key or nickname and the address of the clinic. If you lack a client key, contact your UPS account manager. Fill out the name and address of your clinic. The system will verify if a placard already exists for the location. If so, you can add it to your dashboard or input a new location.
Step 3: Provide Contact Details
Enter your name, email, and phone number. You will receive the confirmation email. Then, add the clinical site’s contact details and proceed. This is the clinic where the placard will be delivered for set up.
Step 4: Choose Placard Details
When selecting a placard type, you may choose Lab Specimens or Non-Lab Items (such as those for dental or audiology clinics). Then, select a size for your permanent placard. The most common size is 8.5 by 11 inches, however you may choose a smaller size if necessary.
Step 5: Schedule Pickup Frequency
Choose a pickup option:
- On-demand or smart pickup service(request as needed).
- Specific days of the week. Choose what works best for the site.
- Daily during UPS operating days, with time slots displayed.
Select a preferred time within minimum 1 hour of the facility's closing, ensuring at least a one-hour difference between this and the latest pickup time allowed.
Step 6: Notification Preferences
Add emails for individuals needing updates and confirm the details. These might include your sales team or other relevant staff. Then, submit the form to receive a confirmation screen. You can now access a PDF of the placard, ready for printing or download. An email with the placard link will also be sent to all mentioned contacts.
