Updates Impacting U.S. Imports
Effective, August 29, 2025, UPS is revising the Entry Preparation Charge for certain UPS® Standard from Canada shipments. Effective September 8, 2025, An International Processing Fee will apply to certain U.S. import shipments. For more information, see ups.com/rates.

Domestic Large Package Surcharge and Additional Handling Charge
Changes to the definition of Domestic Large Package Surcharge and Additional Handling Charge that were previously scheduled for August 17, 2025 have been delayed until on or after December 22, 2025.  The previously announced change in the way UPS determines package dimensions for the purpose of assessing charges remains scheduled for August 18, 2025, and all other previously announced updates remain scheduled as described on ups.com and ups.com/rates.  For more information, see ups.com/rates.

Changes to De Minimis May Impact Charges

Effective August 29th, de minimis will be eliminated for all shipments imported into the U.S. regardless of origin country or shipment value. All shipments will need to go through U.S. Customs Border Protection (CBP) and could be subject to duties, taxes and brokerage fees. Typically, these costs are the responsibility of the person receiving the shipment. Get the latest tariff and de minimis updates.
