Finding Surcharges
Extended Area Surcharge
Providing service to and from less populated or accessible domestic and international areas carries higher operating costs. The extended and remote area surcharges are assessed to more accurately reflect the cost of providing service to these areas.
Fuel Surcharge
Applies to transportation charges for select UPS services and accessorial charges.
Demand Surcharges
Effective February 1, 2025, the Demand Surcharge for Additional Handling and Large Parcels will no longer apply. The Over Maximum Limits surcharge will remain until further notice.
UPS Saturday Delivery Surcharge
Effective March 23, 2025, UPS is reducing Saturday delivery surcharges for UPS Express® on Saturday (commercial and residential shipments) and UPS Standard® on Saturday commercial shipments. No surcharge will apply to UPS Standard® residential shipments.
Surge Fees
Surge fees may be implemented based on regular assessments of shipping volume, available capacity and other considerations at UPS discretion.

Our Legacy UPS Service and Tariff Guides apply to customers with a rate contract for UPS shipments to/from Great Britain which dates before 1 January 2021, or which was renewed after this date using the same rate structure.

Effective 13 July 2025, our Legacy UPS Service and Tariff Guides (which previously applied to customers with a rate contract for UPS shipments to/from Great Britain dated prior to 1 January 2021, or which was renewed after this date using the same rate structure) shall no longer apply, and our Base UPS Service and Tariff Guide shall apply to such customers. Fees are not affected and only minor changes to zone descriptions shall apply.
